The fourth mobility took place in Gălăneşti,
Romania close to the Ukrainian border from 1st to 5th April 2019.
We took a tour around the facilities
and started ice-breaking activities. We even planted a tree¡
Groups of students developed a
workshop related to important news from each country along the week. Last day
they had to perform a presentation.
The 2nd of April we
departed to Putna where we attended a lesson of Romanian History.
The architecture and decoration of
the orthodoxian Monastery of Putna were simply amazing.
We also visited the Dragos Vodă's
Wood Church, one of the oldest wooden-built churches in Europe.
And moved to the Cave of Daniil
Sihastru. It is said that in this spot pilgrims came to pray and meditate.
We devoted the afternoon to learn the
process of making shoes in a local factory
The following day was focused on
introducing traditions, culture via trying out several crafts and customs held
in the region such as the Centre of black ceramics- Marginea,
and the Egg Museum Vama-Bukovina
Suceviţa Monastery is a must-see
destination in this area. In 2010, the monastery was inscribed by UNESCO on its list of World
Heritage Sites, as one of the Painted
churches of Moldavia.
On Thursday we took a trip to Suceava,
attended a presentation at
the National Bank of Romania about the
role of NBR in general, and the their banknotes,
The Suceava Fortress,
And Village Museum
Last day students performed
their works done during the week and said good bye¡
